Focus Areas

Malnutrition: – To reduce the malnutrition rate of moderate to severe underweight children in the age group of 0-6 years and to give priority to the areas where the rate of low birth weight  is high
To take special measures in the areas where the percentage of malnutrition is high by analyzing the malnutrition statistics from the state level.
Health: – Prenatal care for pregnant women (special attention to underweight / anemic women) Newborn care and special focus on health, diet, immunization of children up to 0-3 years of age (focusing on age group from -9 months to +3 years) Conducting workshops at taluka beat level to create awareness among the people by coordinating with the health department from time to time regarding pregnancy care.
ECCE Policy: – To implement the revised policy of pre-primary education for the beneficiaries in the age group of 3-6 years coming to Anganwadi.
To reduce the incidence of malnutrition among moderate and severely underweight children in the age group of 0-6 years under the Integrated Child Development Services Scheme as well as to bring the children in SAM and MAM in the general category
To co-operate with the Department of Health through training and empowerment to implement INMCI-Intensive Management of Neonatal & Childhood Illnesses and Home Based New-born Care on an experimental basis in selected Primary Health Centers in selected districts of the State.
To reduce child marriage by paying special attention to the education of adolescent girls, to increase the gap between two children and to reduce the severity of all malnutrition related issues, to create awareness about diet and health education.
To create a people’s movement through public participation to reduce the incidence of malnutrition by publicizing the programs of the mission through the media and to try to shift the responsibility of reducing malnutrition from the government to the society.
Suggesting various measures for effective implementation of Ebavise scheme.
